Conservation Assistance for Water Users
Purpose
Since 1992, the Kansas Water Office has contracted with the Kansas Rural Water Association to fund a technical assistance program to public water system. The funding is a benefit of the Clean Drinking Water Fee.
The Technical Assistance to Water Users Program provides on-site technical assistance to municipalities (cities and rural water districts). The intent of the program is to improve the operations and maintenance of public water supply systems, as well as water conservation planning and emergency response, through on-site assistance.
