The Student Poster Contest is currently closed. It will open in fall of 2026.
Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit abstracts on their water-related research to be presented at the annual Governor's Water Conference.
The conference will have presentation/sessions on: Drought/Flooding, Groundwater Issues, Water Utility Challenges, Sedimentation, Water Quality and many other items of interest. Any research that involves water quantity, quality or water education is eligible. In addition to an abstract, students are required to submit a 3-5 minute, pre-recorded, lightening presentation on their project/poster. The posters will be displayed the morning of Thursday, November 13 in front hallway at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Student Poster Awards
- Student project posters will be evaluated for the Governor’s Outstanding Graduate or Undergraduate awards (a nice award to add to your resume).
- Six cash awards will be given - top graduate ($250), top undergraduate ($250), and two 1st place runners-up ($125), and two 2nd place runner-ups ($75).
- Announcement of the award winners will be made at the conference.
- Students must register for the conference at the student rate of $40 for a Single Day or $60 for Both Day of the conference.
Student Poster Deadlines:
- The student poster contest is closed. It will open fall of 2026. Submission materials include: abstracts (no more than 250 words) and PDF poster. In addition, a 3-5-minute video recording of a lightning presentation of your research and poster shall be submitted (preferred video format is .MP4).
Poster Board Display Board Size: 32” x 40” - posters up to 36” x 48” will fit the display boards.
