Outreach
The Kansas Water Office is involved in multiple water-related festivals and other events around the state. We emphasize a hands-on approach to learning and helping students think about how water affects the environment around them, their communities, and their families. We also teach students how they can make positive impacts to their local communities and be water aware.
Over the years, KWO has engaged with young learners and their families on a variety of topics in water, including soil health, groundwater supply, water quality, stormwater, floods & droughts and others. Outdoor settings are a natural fit for water education, allowing students to be active and have fun while learning.
